In 2013, a friend and I rode our bicycles from Seattle, around the Olympic Peninsula and down the coast to Santa Cruz. This is the first image from that trip and one I would never have created without the intervention of a trail angel. Cold and soaked, looking for a campsite in Port Angeles, a friendly conversation lead to a ride up the Elwah River Valley to a wonderful campground, complete with a bundle of firewood. People are amazing and never cease to surprise me with their generosity.
